BELIEFS

Yes, I am one of those "Gun Nuts" that you all hear about.

I don't know what YOU think that means, but to ME it means this:
I am proud to be a citizen of a country who's founding fathers recognized mans right to keep and bear arms. As a follower of the Constitution, I am a member of a well regulated militia, that is, I am a free citizen of adult age and am practiced in the use of small arms. If one reads the writings of our country's founding fathers, using the definitions OF THAT TIME PERIOD, one would understand that the Second Amendment is about Personal, Community and the Country's protection and was never intended to be about hunting, recreational or any other "Sporting" purpose. The Second Amendment is about an INDIVIDUAL'S RIGHT to defend himself, his family, his neighbors and yes, even his country, from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

One MUST realize that, at the time the Second Amendment was enacted, the CITIZENS of this nation had just overthrown their own, lawful, government! Should you take away, or pervert, the Second Amendment, the citizens of this country loose the ability to provide for their individual defense and the ability to overthrow an unjust government.

By now, you are thinking that I am advocating the overthrow of our government... nothing could be farther from the truth. What I DO advocate is simply this; Do not pervert, abuse or ignore the most critical laws of our great country as laid down in the Constitution of the United States of America. Embrace them for they are the very foundation on which the freedoms this country has enjoyed for over 200 years is based. Look at the other nations which have been overthrown by ruthless dictators because their people were ill equipped to defend themselves from a government gone bad. Do your own research into our history, don't buy into whatever someone else says, find out for yourself EXACTLY what was said, done and happened. Look at the other sides viewpoints (as well as your own) with an open mind. After, and ONLY after, doing that can one make an informed decision on ANY subject.

I support the Constitution of the United States of America and ALL of it's amendments in both word and deed. As an Enlisted man in the United States Navy, I swore an oath to defend my country from all enemies both foreign and domestic.
I stand by that oath now as I did then. In fact, I am a disabled veteran, law abiding citizen of the United States of America and a registered, ACTIVE voter.

Now, having said all that....

HUNTING

I haven't hunted in several years, but when I did hunt, I hunted for meat or varmint control (in the case below... BOTH!)

I prefer "action" hunting such as squirrel, rabbit and coon as opposed to deer hunting although I did go deer hunting when I could.

What? Doesn't EVERYONE hunt Coons with a 4" S&W Model 10 38spl?
